Junior Development Programme
The Walkers Development Programme caters for the development of over 300 young players in Jersey, across a variety of age groups and abilities. The Programme is primarily aimed at young players from primary school age up to 16. All development groups are coordinated by the Jersey Hockey Administrator, Sarah Heelis, contact@jerseyhockey.co.uk.

Super Minis runs on Sunday mornings from 0845 (meet 0830) until 0930. Super Minis is designed to introduce children to the game of hockey in a fun and safe environment. Parents/guardians of Super Minis must stay on the Hockey Clubhouse site throughout the sessions. |

Minis runs on Sunday mornings. Year 4 boys and girls train from 0830-0930 and then Years 5 and 6 from 0945-1115. Minis is designed to introduce children to the game of hockey in a fun and safe environment. Lead Coach for 2023/2024 is Dan Wilson. |

Puffins is for girls and boys, predominantly in school year 7. The Puffins coaching group is the next step in the Jersey Hockey player pathway after the girls and boys have completed their time in the Minis coaching group. We also welcome girls and boys who are new to the game to come and learn the fundamental core skills of hockey and to develop their game in readiness for the next step – competitive club hockey. Guidance can be given to the girls and boys on when it is time for them to make this step and how they should do it... |

Feagles is for girls and boys, predominantly in school year 8.

Caesareans is for boys in school years 9 and 10. The Caesareans coaching group is the next step in the Jersey Hockey player pathway after the boys have completed their time in the Feagles coaching group. We also welcome boys who are new to the game to come and learn the fundamental core skills of hockey and to develop their game.
The boys are split into two squads - Dragons and Flames.

Historically Jersey Hockey have run both boys and girl U16 performance squads and boys and girls U14 performance squads.
These squads are important steps on the Jersey Hockey player pathway.
Girls and Boys are invited to attend trials for these squads either via their school teachers or from observations by relevant Jersey Hockey coaches. Trials will usually take place at the beginning of the Autumn Term. |

Junior Inter Insulars take place for both boys and girls at the U14 and U16 age groups. In the 2023/2024 season we will play against Guernsey on 27th January 2024 in Jersey. |
